What makes our team so special? Well, for starters, we are completely run by volunteer coaches who are passionate about sharing their love of the sport with young athletes. This season, we are lucky to have a fantastic group of coaches on board to lead our team to success. From teaching the basics to perfecting advanced techniques, our coaches are dedicated to helping each wrestler reach their full potential. So if you or your child is interested in joining our team, we would love to have you on board. Things you Need to know if you want to help coach...

Volunteer Coaches are always needed!

Please note that to be considered a volunteer coach you do not need experience.  All experience levels are welcome. All you need is a passion & desire to serve our club & community.

All Donegal Elementary Wrestling coaches are required to obtain up to date clearances, record checks, and training as follows:
• Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check  (FREE)
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance  (FREE)

Coaches Code of Conduct

  • I will coach with the goal of creating a positive learning experience for athletes.
  • I will lead by example in demonstrating fair play and sportsmanship to all my players.
  • Respect the coaches and players of the opposing teams at all events before, during, and after.  Always representing Donegal Elementary Wrestling and the community in a positive manner.
  • Winning matches is secondary to building a positive youth wrestling experience for my wrestlers/family of my wresters, and opposing teams.
  • I will put the emotional and physical well-being of my wrestlers ahead of a personal desire to win.
  • Maintain control of your emotions and avoid actions, language and/or gestures that may be interpreted as hostile and/or humiliating.
  • Respect the wrestling officials and refrain from questioning their decisions in a disrespectful or abusive manner.  Under no circumstances engage in an argument with official.
  • Ensure that parents/fans of your team conduct themselves with sportsmanship and maturity at all times, while in attendance of matches.
  • I will not belittle or ridicule anyone involved in a youth sporting event-in public, private, in person, or online.
