Parents Code of Conduct

• I will respect players, coaches, officials, spectators, and families at all times.
• I will respect the decisions of Coaches and wrestling officials.
• I will not engage in any violence or verbal threats or use of any profanity.
• I will model good sportsmanship for all youth wrestlers.
• I will not belittle or ridicule anyone involved in an event in public, private, or online.
• I will do my part to keep wrestling fun and positive for every youth wrestler.
• I will put the emotional and physical well-being of wrestler ahead of personal desire to win.
• Do not draw attention from the wrestler.  If you find yourself becoming too emotionally involved in what's happening on the mat, take a step back and relax.
• Value your child's commitment.  Get your wrestler to practice and tournaments on time.  Also, please stay committed to tournaments and FVLs.
• Act in a respectful manner.  
• Officials are part of the match.  It is not the parent's job to officiate the match.  Accept the call and move on.
• Allow the match to be fun.  Encourage enjoyment and participation over results.  If it's not fun, something's wrong.
• If you have a problem with a coach or something that happened at practice, please reach out to the head coach or coordinator.  If you are upset, please allow for a 24 hour cool down period before contacting either person.  ​​​​​​​
